Ever wished you didn`t have
the weight of the instrument
hanging around your neck?
Do you feel that a spike
restricts you when you play?
Do you use a seat-strap but
feel you have to still support
the instrument with your left
hand and wrist?

The Counter-Balance Seat-
Strap is made from extremely
durable components,
ensuring absolute security
whilst playing.
With a conventional seat-strap the
right thigh acts as a pivot-point as
the bassoon rests against it.
However, as the majority of the
instruments weight is above this
point, weight is placed on the left
hand , arm, and wrist as the
instrument falls to the left due to
gravity (see arrow 2).
The Counter-Balance Seat-Strap
has an innovative elasticated
section which simply fastens around
the front right chair-leg creating an
opposite force (see arrow 1), thus
counteracting (arrow 3) the force of
gravity.

Correct posture can be easily
maintained, thus aiding
younger players particularly.
The elasticated section is
adjustable so that more or less
weight may be alleviated from
the left hand.
The left side of the strap is
cleverly weighted to prevent it
from slipping from the chair.
